Software Download & Installation Instructions

Welcome to the page where you can get a fully functioning Free Trial of Next Analytics for Excel. Only an valid email id is required, no credit card information is requested.

When you want to convert your Free Trial to a full license, click the Buy button (on this page).  Payments are made via PayPal, Next Analytics never sees your credit card number.  Paypal informs us of your payment and then a code is sent by email to you.  Enter that code and your Free Trial is converted to a Perpetual License.

Download the Setup program

Run the Setup program.

  • If you saved the download, the file name is NextAnalyticsSetup.exe.
  • If you already have an old version of Next Analytics then you should un-install it.  You can do this using Windows Control Panel.
  • You need Administrator privileges to run it.
  • It needs internet access to verify the Next Analytics digital signature and to communicate with our license server.
  • In some Windows installations, click Accept when a message about Visual Studio Tools for Office system 3.0 Runtime appears.
  • In some Windows installations, click Install when a message about Microsoft Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies appears.
  • Read the License Agreement, check the box, then proceed.

Run Excel

Click Install when Excel asks to Install "NextanalyticsForExcel".  Excel will check the digital signature of the Next Analytics software.

  • For Windows XP you must uncheck the box that says "protect my computer"
  • For Windows Vista you must choose "Allow"

Next you will see TWO dialog boxes, one after the other:

  • The first dialog box
    • asks for an email address.
    • Enter one and click Submit.
    • Nextanalytics.com will send a registration code to that inbox.
  • Check your email inbox
    • it usually only takes a few seconds.
    • If you don't get it quickly, check your junk or spam folder or send an email to our support department:  support at nextanalytics.com.
    • Record the code that we send to you for the next step.
  • The second dialog box
    • enter or paste the code we sent to you by email

Congratulations -- it's installed and ready to use! Here's some activities for you to try

Activity

Your data in a dashboard (list of dashboards updated each week!)

  • Choose: Zip file with All Next Analytics' Spreadsheets
  • Look for a file named: NextAnalyticsDashboards.zip.
  • Extract the spreadsheet files into a subdirectory.
  • Open any spreadsheet file.
  • In some zip files, there might be a readme.txt file -- so be sure look for that.

Notes:

  • The very first time you run a dashboard, it will ask you for default Google Analytics connection information.
  • When your data is large, Google Analytics can take several minutes to send all the data (be patient). This can be batched if you want to deploy this product to users who can't wait for a real-time refresh.

Interact with Google Analytics

Click the menu or button named "Start".  You will see a tab labelled Google Analytics -- explore your data live.
