Determine the distribution of top and bottom performers

This is a two part example. In the first part, we look at the distribution of individual performance ratings in each month.  In the second part, we look at the distribution of performance ratings of an individual across the months.

We start with a crosstab of sales reps for each month.

For this example, we'll calculate deciles down the column.  This tells us how this sales rep did against their peers as well as drawing attention to outliers.

We'll now use the ability of Nextanalytics to swap the cell values with the row labels.  This gives a list of sales rep in each quartile in each month.  This is very actionable information which could easily by copy/pasted into an email message asking for an explanation or giving congratulaions.

If we go back a step, and we use the Nextanalytics swap cell values with columns feature, this tells which months the sales rep was doing well and which ones they weren't (if any).

Now we see in which months each sales person were performing at their best and worst.
