Recognize trends and outliers through normalization
Simplify your numbers using Nextanalytics normalization; it helps you to recognize trends, patterns, and outliers easier.

NextAnalytics offers a wide range of choices to simplify your numbers.

  1. "N-Tile" which means to calculate the quartiles, quintiles, deciles, or any number you want.
  2. An Above/Below option, which tests values as being above or below median or average
  3. You can supply custom ranges as percent or numeric ranges.

Each of the foregoing normalization functions work on rows, columns, or the crosstab. This means that there are literally thousands of ways to simplify your numbers in just a few clicks of your mouse!

There are too many ways to do this to show them all in this examples page, we're just going to pick one of them because they all work similarly.

Starting with a basic crosstab, as follows:

Nextanalytics makes it easy to change the values.   Any value below column average is changed to 1 and above average is a 2.

Next, Nextanalytics allows us to display text instead of numbers. For a '1', we'll put "below" and for a '2' we'll put "above".
