Determine the best and the worst by ranking

Who are your top performers? What were the best months? What and what were the best overall?

Our starting crosstab is a list of sales reps, with their sales figures for each month as numeric columns. Let's use this as a starting point for the example comparisons.

Would you like to quickly know who was the best and worst:

  1. each sales rep, in each time period
  2. each time period for each sales rep
  3. overall?

With NextAnalytics Rank operation, it's just one step with three options.  We'll go through each one.

Rank down the column

The following crosstab shows the rank values down the columns. It correctly handles tie values and also has an option to reverse the ordering of the number, where the highest rank number is assigned to largest value.

This shows performance in each time period.
