Ward Yaternick, a veteran of the Ottawa business intelligence software business best identified with IBM-Cognos, has come out of stealth mode with a new company and a new low-cost product: nextanalytics 3.0 will sell for $595 per server. One customer is Direct Loyalty Corp. of Perth, which is using the product to help restaurant clients measure and increase customer traffic. Mr. Yaternick sold OLAP@Work to Business Objects in 2000 for $22 million.
